Achla Designs Tree Design Floor Mats
Color the ground you walk or sit on with these polyurethane, woven floor mats! spread them on the porch, the beach, the kitchen floor, or hang on the walls and floor's of children's rooms. we recommend using carpet tape to hold them down. create great accents anywhere! our mats are made to last! but like everything else, we have to take good care of them. try not to leave mats exposed to the sun or rain for long periods. if you do, wash them and let them drip dry. ideally, roll them up when not in use. mats come rolled and packed in a heavy poly-bag.
Koko Taylor- photo by Douglas Mason 2006
The "Queen of Blues," Koko Taylor, died yesterday at the age of 80. Born to sharecroppers near Memphis, she went on to become a legend in Chicago and around the world. This Grammy winner was known for her gritty and powerful voice. She was a strong-minded business woman who chartered her own musical career, but offstage she was unassuming and kind. In her world, she "adopted" many friends into her family. (Pictured here at New Orleans' Jazz Fest)
My beautiful companion and best friend, she is almost 11 years old, I hope she lasts a long time. Her sister Koki lived to be 18 years old. Koko is a very strange dog, I removed all of the carpeting in my house and replaced it with wood and tile floors and now Koko refuses to walk on the floor so I have had to put down little throw rugs all over the house for her to walk on, it looks like little stepping stones of carpets all over my house.
